Happy Friday!! (aka Manoush day!)

Happy Friday folks!

Well at least it’s already Friday in oz 🙂 Wherever you may be on this small globe spinning through the universe that we all inhabit – do not fear, Friday is so near!

Zataar & Cheese Manoush

And yes, Manoush day has returned to Friday for this week. A hearty breakfast of zataar and cheese manoush is such an awesome way to finish up the long week in the office.

My work colleague Fi was suggesting we try something a little different for our lunch zataar – perhaps fruit and yoghurt. Hmm, does sound interesting, she was going shopping last night it will be interesting to see what combination she shows up with 🙂

Sometimes other staff members will ask for manoush, this week I picked up extra for Sylvia – she likes hers with vegies and yoghurt (no cheese). I haven’t tried this combo yet, am thinking because the olives put me off, or possibly the lack of cheese – I really love cheese.

I had wanted to include a link to the bakery we go to, however, as he doesn’t appear to have a website I’ll just mention the name of the bakery – Lebanon Bakery, and the magician behind the manoush is Uncle Tony. Not my/our Uncle, that’s the name he used on the Pizza menu board.

 

 

 

Happy Manoush Day!

Manoush – Manoosh – Manaeesh .. however you want to spell it (or pronounce it) – it’s awesome!

Usually it’s manoush day on a Friday – my coworker Fi and I take turns in picking some up from the lebanese bakery on the way to work – but this week it’s come a day early.

Zaatar and Cheese for breakfast 🙂 yummo!

We  also get a  zaatar manoush to embellish with whatever we have on hand for our lunch. These embellishments may include lunch leftovers, random salads,  chicken, cheese, tomato etc. We’ve had some amazing combinations, and some extremely messy ones as well! As Fi puts it “the messier it is, the better it tastes!”

Today it’s mushy avocado and cheese – delicious!

So Yeah, it’s another great day in the office – so much testing to do and our server has major lag. So yeah, maybe not so great – maybe more of a drag. Due to Major Lag.

Gamers of course would be familiar with this and the feelings of frustration it can cause. Although I’m certainly not at risk of having a character lose any skill points from being cannibilised by demons/ hunters/ reavers etc, it’s still quite frustrating when you’re trying to complete tasks to a deadline and your equipment does not want to play ball.

Bad equipment! Let me finish my work!

If only there were real life mantras you could quote to perform some mystical fix for Major Lag. Or maybe a Patronus charm to ward off terrors from your technology. Is there a guardian angel you can call on for guidance to guarantee performance of these gargantuan rackages?

“In the name of Queen Cookie, I hereby order you to cease and desist Major Lag!”

Or in other words “behave or I’ll sic my daughter onto you!”

I guess I don’t have that much to complain about – waiting for pages to load has given me time to write this post
