Hi everyone and welcome!!

I’m Mekazi (a.k.a. Kaz) my daughter is Cookie (a.k.a. Sheska) our housemate is Angel, and this is our blog.

We live in the southwest of Sydney, NSW, Australia

We have a doggie (rotty) who my daughter  named Sirius Black, and a cat (ginger tabby) who I named Stanley Tweedle.

We have many interests including fantasy fiction, Sci-Fi, crochet, gaming, books, photography, art, design, technology … not to mention the occasional somewhat obscure TV series!

None of us have done any blogging so this should be an interesting and possibly fun filled adventure for us, and we hope that anyone reading this is also thoroughly entertained, thought provoked, engaged … or at the very least have a bit of a giggle!

Crafting Crochet Creations

I learned to crochet when much younger, but the only things I had ever made were some granny blankets (afghans). I  made one for my daughter when she was just a wee bub … she is now 23 and still loves that blanket 🙂

My friend calls them Kazzameblankys

After taking up the hook again last year I began experimenting with a variety of different styles. I also taught some crochet techniques to my daughter.

Cookie has a knack for Amigurumi .. maybe stemming from the enormous amount of manga and anime she indulges in 😉 Her creations are so cute!

I have discovered that I’m a yarnaholic … I had to ban myself from Spotlight and other shops that sell yarn .. there is NO MORE storage for it!
